Captain Seth Meunier is a USCG licensed Master Captain who runs fishing trips out of Marco Island and the surrounding waters of the Ten Thousand Islands and the Gulf of Mexico. He has spent more than a decade working full time on the water, building practical experience through years of fishing, boating, and navigating local conditions.
Trips are planned around tides, weather, and seasonal patterns rather than a fixed itinerary. Whether fishing inshore, nearshore, or heading offshore when conditions allow, the approach stays the same: read the conditions, make adjustments as needed, and fish where the opportunity is best that day.
Marco Island Sportfishing is owned and operated by Captain Seth Meunier in collaboration with the Musso family. Captain Seth’s background on the water and the Musso family’s long-standing connection to Marco Island came together through years of shared time on the water.
The Musso family has been vacationing on Marco Island since the 1990s and are long-time residents of the area. Over the years, Captain Seth served as the family’s boat pilot for fishing, shelling, and island trips. After spending countless days on the water together and seeing firsthand how trips were run, the decision was made to form a partnership and build Marco Island Sportfishing.
The goal was simple: offer visitors a well-run charter experience that reflects how fishing and boating are actually done in the area, without overcomplicating the day or forcing trips into a preset mold.
Trips are planned with flexibility in mind from the start. Conditions are discussed ahead of time so expectations are clear, and decisions on the water are made based on safety, weather, and fishing opportunities.
